tag Must Haves for Your Entertaining
Here is a small collection of basics that you may not own, but which come in very handy when you’re entertaining.
Up until now, perhaps you’ve been making do with what you have on hand, like serving chips in a salad bowl with dip in a cereal bowl on the side? Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but how about stepping up to…
1. A chip and dip bowl. Specially made for your favorite game-time snack or pre-barbeque munchies. Although the two bowls look separate and nested, they are actually one piece for ease of storage and cleanup. tag offers chip and dip bowls in Jardin solid colored terracotta, Fall Flora patterned terracotta, and white porcelain. Have you tried pepper-seasoned ridged potato chips with edamame hummus dip? Nice.
2. Tiered servers. When you’re setting out a buffet, you want to add height to your sideboard presentation. Tiered servers are just the ticket, whether made of wire, basket, or ceramics. You can also create tiered services by stacking two or three different sizes of pedestal cake plates. Use them at the beginning for hors d’oeuvres, and at the end for a selection of sweets.
3. Snack bowls with caddy. For nuts, small pretzels, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, a choice of salad dressing, small candies … you’ll be amazed at the uses you find for these handy items. Whenever you plan to entertain, it will be one of the first serving pieces you take out of the cabinet.
4. Paper Products. Paper products can be a fun, stylish way to entertain with ease. It’s always a good idea to keep some paper napkins, bowls, plates, and cups around the house in the case of a large number of surprise guests or a spontaneous party. Paper cocktail napkins also serve well as a casual coaster for drinks. tag has designed a range of paper that coordinates with many of our fall collections. Plus, tag paper makes clean-up a breeze.
5. Bamboo cutting boards. Bamboo is a fast-growing, renewable resource, so you can collect a whole kitchen full of fun cutting boards while helping preserve the environment. We have fish boards, lemon boards, handbag boards (no kidding!), bottle boards, square boards, rectangular boards, and round boards. One size most definitely does not fit all, so you’ll need several.
