Create your own themed gift basket!
Have you ever received a gift basket that included several items you were immediately ready to “re-gift”? That’s the problem with ready-made gift baskets. Sure, they’re easy, but to be certain the gift will be a success, we’ve found that putting together a unique basket tailored to the tastes and needs of the recipient will be much more appreciated. And it’s actually much more fun for you!
For this holiday tip, we actually assembled a basket that we thought a family member – someone who doesn’t work with us – would like. Here’s how we did it. It was as easy as 1 – 2 – 3 …
1. Choose a basket! Our favorite is
the Fresh Herbs Gathering Basket. It has a lot of room, is very open so the recipient can immediately see all the gifts, and features long, elegant handles that just beg to be picked up!
2. Start shopping! This is the fun part. We thought a minute about what our recipient really appreciates receiving – something that she uses a lot, something that she often buys on her own, and something that is attractive and will enhance her home. The first choice stared us in our proverbial faces!
Candles! She loves candles of all kinds and all sizes and all colors. So we began to assemble our basket with a selection of our favorite
tag candles. We soon realized that a candle-themed gift basket would be the perfect holiday present. And with
tag’s wide variety of colorful holiday candles, as well as basic pillars, tapers, and votives, we soon had enough to almost fill the basket.
3. Accessorize! A few final, colorful touches were all we needed to finish our special gift basket. A little something to soften the look and add texture …
holiday guest towels. Our recipient loves receiving useful as well as decorative gifts so the combination is perfect. We sprinkled in a selection of holiday votive holders and voilà!
